Trial Due To Start For Doctor Charged With Trafficking

A trial is due to start today in Bridgewater Court for a doctor accused of drug trafficking.
Sarah Jones pleaded not guilty to all charges against her in June.
In February of last year, she was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking in oxycodone and oxyneo, as well as theft, breach of trust, and fraud.
Jones worked at Crossroads Family Practice in Tantallon but has now been suspended.
Bridgewater Police say she got the narcotics by writing and filling false prescriptions for a patient.
