Hearings on Accessibility Bill

The provincial government begins two days of public hearings on its proposed accessibility legislation, today.

Dozens are expected to appear before the Legislature’s law amendments committee to give their views on Bill 59.

The Bill is designed to make buildings and facilities in the province more accessible for disabled people.

However, it’s been delayed since last fall after criticism from people and groups the legislation is supposed to help.
