Some Schools Cancelled, Today

The Cape Breton-Victoria Regional School Board has cancelled classes at some schools today.

School is cancelled North of Smokey as well as at Baddeck Academy, Middle River School and Rankin School in Iona.

Classes at all other Board schools will go as scheduled, today.

And Marine Atlantic has cancelled today’s 12:30 crossing from North Sydney because of weather conditions in the Cabot Strait.

It adds the ferry is now due to leave at 11:45 tonight, weather permitting.
