Three Glace Bay Men Arrested In Weekend Raid

Three Glace Bay men were in Sydney Provincial Court today to face a number of charges after police responded to a weapons complaint in Glace Bay over the weekend.

Police say they were called to Oceancrest Drive at about 4 o’clock yesterday morning, when someone reported a man in that area with a gun.

They add officers found the man in a home, where they also noted the presence of drugs, and three people in the home were arrested.

Police go on to say officers seized what’s being called a very large amount of cocaine, marihuana, hash and money from the home.

27 year-old Corey James Decoste, 23 year-old Jordan William Oakes, and 24 year-old Michael Norman Knox have been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Cocaine, Marihuana and Hash.

Decoste is also charged with Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Careless Use of a Firearm and Carrying a Concealed Weapon, while Oakes is charged with Assault, Resisting Arrest, Assaulting a Police Officer and a Breach of Probation.
