Red Cup Cancelled, Again

The 40^th Red Cup Showcase won’t be going ahead after all.

Riverview High in Coxheath had cancelled the annual hockey tournament because of the teachers’ work-to-rule campaign.

However, it had planned to hold a scaled-down version of the Red Cup starting on Thursday.

But the School says the event has been cancelled again because of the withdrawal of participating teams.

Local high schools Glace Bay, Memorial and Sydney Academy were due to take part in the event.

Riverview High isn’t saying anything more about the cancellation.
