Glace Bay Man Charged in Slaunwhite Murder

Regional Police have made an arrest in the murder of Harold “Buster” Slaunwhite.

Police have charged  49-year-old Raymond Glenn Farrow from Glace Bay with 1st Degree Murder in the case.

Police arrested Farrow at a Glace Bay home, yesterday.

82 year-old Slaunwhite was found murdered in his Dominion home, more than 10 ten years ago.

Regional Police say the RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit has been working with them on the investigation since 2014.

Last year, police set up a special phone line where people could share any tips they might have on the case.

The murder was also part of the province’s Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program.

The program offers up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for major unsolved crimes.
