Unlawful Confinement Trial Due to Start, Today

The trial is due to start today for a 30 year-old man charged with unlawful confinement after an incident in Richmond County.Justin Daniel MacLeod pleaded not guilty to the charge and not guilty to a breach of conditions in June. RCMP say MacLeod met a woman at a party in April and offered her a ride home. However, they add instead he brought her to a secluded area of Richmond County and locked her in his family cabin. Police go on to say the woman escaped after MacLeod left. Regional Police arrested MacLeod the next day. He’s been released on strict conditions and to await today’s trial.
