Police Say Threats Against Eight Schools Not Credible

Regional Police say they’re investigating threats made against eight schools in the Cape Breton Victoria Regional School Board.

Police add the threats were deemed not credible and came from two different Instagram accounts.

They go on to say the schools targeted in the threats are Sherwood Park Education Centre in Sydney, Malcolm Munroe Middle School in Sydney, Whitney Pier Memorial Middle School, Sydney Academy, Riverview High in Coxheath, Breton Education Centre in New Waterford, Glace Bay High and Oceanview Education Centre in Glace Bay.

Police also say there’s no threat to public safety at any of the schools and add their investigation is ongoing.
