Bail Hearing for Firefighters Accused of Multiple Arsons

Two members of the Florence Volunteer Fire Department charged in connection to a string of arsons in the community are due back in court today for bail hearings.

49 year-old Stephen Tremblett, from North Sydney faces 12 charges of Arson.
And, 24 year-old James Clayton MacDonald from Bras d’Or faces 16 counts of arson.
The charges are in connection to 16 fires that took place over the last several months.
Two of the fires were set to homes occupied by people while 13 were in vacant homes and one was a summer home.

Police say they made the arrests after an intensive investigation that also involved the Fire Marshall’s Office.
