Falun Gong Event in Sydney

A national campaign by practitioners of Falun Gong arrives in Cape Breton today with a public event at the Civic Centre in Sydney.

The group has been holding what it calls an SOS car tour across Canada to draw attention to what it claims is the systematic harvesting of human organs from group members who’ve been imprisoned in China.

While in Sydney, the group will also be asking people to sign a petition demanding an end to the persecution of Falun Gong members in China.

The group plans to present the petition to the federal government.

The national protest has already visited Halifax and Dartmouth.

This morning’s event in Sydney will take place between 10:30 and 11:00.
