Elizabeth May is expected to make an announcement about her political future today after talking about the possibility of stepping down as leader of the Green Party of Canada.
May began to question her position in the party after the Greens voted to endorse a movement that calls for the boycott of Israel at their convention, earlier this month.
She says the decision has left her heartbroken and also said she planned to discuss her next move while visiting with family in Cape Breton.
In her decade as leader, May has been the highest-profile Green politician in the country.
However, her own popularity hasn’t translated into more success for the party, overall.
