by Mayor Cecil Clarke says the Regional Municipality is preparing tenders for a full engineering structural review of the Bayplex.
Clarke adds if an upgrade to the facility is not enough to bring the building up to code, they’ll have to look at options for replacing the arena.
Yesterday’s announcement comes after Clarke announced $40,000 for emergency repairs to the Bayplex in the spring.
Those repairs included work on a leaky roof as well as structural problems.
The structural review is expected to be completed next month.
