Internet Black Widow Pleads Not Guilty To Breaching Conditions

The lawyer for the woman known as the Internet Black Widow entered a not guilty plea on her behalf in court, this morning.
82-year-old Melissa Ann Shepard is accused of breaching her release conditions after serving more than two years for spiking her new husband’s coffee with tranquilizers.
Fred Weeks ended up at the Northside General Hospital while the couple was in Cape Breton on their honeymoon.
Shepard was arrested in April after a Halifax Regional Police officer says he recognized her at the Halifax Central Library trying to get on the Internet.

Her 22 release conditions include a ban on her accessing the Internet.
She’s due to stand trial on the charge on February 1st.
