New Sydney VA Will Be On Crescent Street

The new location for the Sydney Veterans Affairs Office will be the former Silicon Island and court house building on Crescent Street in Sydney.

Veterans Affairs Minister Kent Hehr will officially make the announcement in Sydney at 9:00, this morning.

The former Conservative government closed the Sydney VA office on George Street along with eight other across the country, two years ago.

The new Liberal government has pledged to reopen all of the offices.

Earlier this month, Sydney-Victoria MP Mark Eyking said renovations were underway for the new Sydney office.

He added the new office will be more accessible and user-friendly than the former George Street location.

The new office is also expected to have more than the 13 full-time and four part-time employees the old one had.
