Glace Bay Emergency Room Closed

The Emergency Department at the Glace Bay Hospital is closed until further notice.

Nova Scotia Health Authority spokesman Greg Boone said in a press release that the closure is due to a lack of available nurses to cover day shift today.

The Health Authority will announce when the ER reopens.

Glace Bay residents are asked to call 911 if they need emergency service or go to the ER at the Regional hospital in Sydney.
