Seniors Action Plan Meeting, Today

The only Cape Breton stop takes place today in a series of meetings to get input from seniors on the province’s aging population.

The province is holding the meetings as it develops an action plan to address Nova Scotia’s aging population.
Today’s meeting gets underway at 3:00 this afternoon at the Grand Lake Road Fire Hall.

The province says Nova Scotians, businesses, the non-profit sector and community groups will be asked for ideas about paid work, volunteering, aging in place, and how people can continue to be healthy and active as they age.
The action plan is expected to be developed sometime later this year.

An online survey is also available through the provincial government website.
