MacDonald To Cover For Hospitalized Flynn

The Regional Municipality says Councillor George MacDonald will step in to help with any matters in Darrel Flynn’s district while the Glace Bay area councillor is treated in hospital.

The CBRM confirmed yesterday that Flynn is being treated at the Regional Hospital because of complications from pneumonia.

Mayor Cecil Clarke says he and his colleagues wish Flynn a speedy recovery.

Flynn’s health troubles come after Northside area Councillor Charlie Keagan died late last year after suffering a heart attack.

And Councillor Claire Detheridge is currently on leave as she recovers from a brain bleed.
