by Long-time Regional Councillor Mae Rowe has announced she’ll not be re-offering in this fall’s municipal elections.
Rowe was first elected to Council in the year 2000 and has served three terms as a councillor.
She lost in the 2004 election but was re-elected in 2008 and 2012.
Rowe says she’s stepping away from politics to spend more time with her family.
She adds she’d like to see more women in politics.
