Sydney Health Announcement

Just two days before a meeting on the doctor shortage in Cape Breton, Transportation Minister and Glace Bay MLA Geoff MacLellan is due to make a health-care announcement in Sydney, today.

MacLellan is making the announcement at noon at the Regional Hospital on behalf of Health Minister Leo Glavine.

Meanwhile, Glavine says he can’t make Sunday’s meeting at the Joan Harriss Cruise Pavilion in Sydney.

However, he does say Cape Breton Liberal MLA’s Pam Eyking and Derek Mombourquette will be there.

Spokesperson Greg Boone says officials from the provincial Health Authority will also be there.

The Opposition Progressive Conservatives originally announced the meeting that’s due to take place between 2:00 and 4:00 in the afternoon.
