Eskasoni Man To Stand Trial For Second Degree Murder

An Eskasoni man has been committed to stand trial on a charge of second-degree murder after a preliminary hearing, yesterday.

26 year-old Albert Michael Bernard is charged in connection with the July 4th beating death of 36-year-old Dale Dennis from Eskasoni.

Dennis died from his injuries while being taken to hospital.

Bernard has elected to be tried by judge and jury and continues to be on remand.

He’s due back in court on April 4th to set a trial date.
