Obama Mentions Cape Breton

Cape Breton got a mention during last night’s state dinner for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at the White House.

And it’s all thanks to a joke website urging U-S citizens to move to the Island if Donald Trump becomes president.

President Barack Obama mentioned the Island as he talked about the close ties between Canada and the U-S.

The text from his speech reads “Where else would we see a community like Cape Breton, Nova Scotia welcoming Americans if the election does not go their way?

Meanwhile, last night’s event was the first U.S. state dinner for a Canadian prime minister since 1997.
