Special Council Meeting For Budget Consultations

Regional Council will hold a Budget Consultation today to hear presentations from a number of groups.

A total of eleven presenters are on the agenda, starting with the National Trust of Canada at 9:30, this morning.

The charity will discuss plans to regenerate downtown Sydney, now labelled the Sydney Waterfront District.

Also on the list are the United Way, New Dawn Enterprises, the Cape Breton Partnership, Business Cape Breton and Destination Cape Breton.

Horizon Achievement Centre, the Sydney Mines Heritage Society, Synergy Louisbourg and the Community Transportation Working Group will make presentations to Council, as well.

The Budget Consultation will take place in Council Chambers at the Civic Centre in Sydney.
