Man Due in Court After Weekend Break-in

A 33 year-old man is due in court today in connection with a robbery on George St. in Sydney early Saturday morning.   Regional Police say they got the call to Mac’s Convenience Store shortly before 3:00 when a 911 caller reported a break and enter in progress.   They add the suspect took a number of items from the store after entering the building by removing an air conditioning unit.   When police arrived on the scene, witnesses told them the suspect had fled to nearby Wentworth Park where police say he was found and arrested.   He faces charges of Break and Enter, Theft, Possession of Stolen Goods, and Possession of Break-In Instruments.
