The blaze damaged a house with two apartments at 53 Kitchener Street.
The Red Cross says it’s helping one man with emergency lodging and food.
It adds the second occupant of the building is staying with family or friends.
The building suffered minor damage and Fire Services has handed the case over to Regional Police.
