Glace Bay Woman Recovering From Pitt Bull Attack

A Glace Bay woman says she’s lucky to be alive after being attacked by a pit bull.

36-year-old Corry MacPhee-Morrison needed more than 200 stitches during emergency surgery to close a gash on her right thigh.

She says the wound came dangerously close to a major artery.

MacPhee-Morrison adds she was attacked by a dog belonging to her brother’s girlfriend while visiting his Glace Bay home.

She wants the dog put down but says the woman refuses to do that.

The Cape Breton Branch of the SPCA says it’s investigating with the help of Regional Police.
