Glace Bay Man Pleads Guilty to Arson

A Glace Bay man is scheduled to be sentenced later this month after pleading guilty to several offences including arson.

 

30-year-old Brian William Spinney will also be sentenced on charges of  trespassing at night, possession of an unauthorized weapon ( a sawed-off .12gauge shotgun), possession of stolen property and breaching a court order.

 

The arson charge is related to a February fire at a downtown Sydney pizza shop.

 

 Spinney is one of five people charged in connection with the fire A1 Pizza on Charlotte Street.

He remains on remand and is scheduled to be sentenced on June 26th.
