Missing Boy Found After Hours in Cold

Cape Breton Regional Police say there was a close call in Albert Bridge last night when a missing 13-year-old boy was found unconscious after being reported missing.

The teen, who police say is known to them, was reported missing at around 4:30, yesterday afternoon from his home on Country Lane, off Hills Road.

A police K-9 unit and 20 to 30 members with Cape Breton Ground Search and Rescue were called in to help in the search.

The boy was found at 11:00 last night and sent to Cape Breton Regional Hospital for treatment.

Police say he’s expected to make a full recovery.
