People who fought to keep the Sydney Veterans Affairs office open will wear black ribbons to mourn its closure, today.
The black ribbon ceremony will get underway at noon, hours before the office is slated to close.
Georges River veteran, Ron Clarke is urging the community to come out and show its support.
Clarke adds they’ve lost the battle, but not the war, and he vows to continue to fight Ottawa’s plans to serve local veterans at Service Canada offices.

Burt says he plans to stay at the Veterans Affairs office all day today until it closes one last time, at the end of the day.
