77 COVID Cases Reported Over Two Days

The province is reporting 77 new cases of COVID-19 over the past two days and it’s renewing its State of Emergency.

Seven of the new cases are in the Eastern Zone that includes Cape Breton.

There are 51 new cases in the Central Zone, with 13 in the Western Zone and six in the Northern Zone.

The province is also reporting 61 more recoveries since the last update on Wednesday.

There’s now a total of 240 confirmed active cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia, including nine in the Cape Breton County Community Health Network.

11 people in the province are now in hospital with the virus, including four people in intensive care.

The State of Emergency is being extended to October 17th.
