Six of 27 men charged after a police prostitution sting in downtown Sydney entered guilty pleas and were issued fines of nearly 694 dollars, yesterday.
They were also ordered to submit a DNA sample to the national registry.
All 27 were due in court yesterday to each face a charge of communicating for the purpose of obtaining sexual services
Most of them showed up while others hired lawyers to represent them for their first appearance.
Three entered not guilty pleas and were assigned a trial date while the others are due back in court on November 3rd to enter pleas.
The accused range in age from 26 to 81 and come from communities across Cape Breton.
The Regional Police operation used three undercover female police officers in downtown Sydney from August 26th to September 4th.
