52 New Cases Of COVID-19, Today

The province is reporting 52 new cases of COVID-19 and 19 recoveries today, bringing the total number of active cases to 194.

29 of the new cases are in the Central Zone, 18 are in the Eastern Zone that includes Cape Breton, three are in the Northern Zone and two are in the Western Zone.

The government says there’s a cluster of cases in a localized community in the Northern Zone.

It says there’s also evidence of limited community spread in Halifax and parts of northern Nova Scotia.

Nine people in the province are in hospital with the virus, including four in intensive care.
