The province is reporting 50 new cases of COVID-19 today as health officials continue to look into why case numbers have been rising in recent days.
Two of the new cases are in the Eastern Zone that includes Cape Breton.
The Northern and Western zones have 20 new cases each and there are eight new cases in the Central Zone.
The province is also reporting 17 new recoveries today.
There’s now a total of 213 confirmed active cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia, including 19 in the Regional Municipality.
Nine people in the province are now in hospital with the virus, including one person in intensive care.
Premier Tim Houston and the province’s Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Robert Strang are scheduled to give another COVID-19 update tomorrow at noon.
