The province is reporting 22 more COVID-19 deaths over the seven-day period that ended on Monday.
77 people were hospitalized because of the virus over the same period.
The new figures come after a record 24 deaths were reported over the previous seven-day period.
Health officials say this week’s data show a continued decrease in lab-confirmed cases in the province since the peak of the sixth wave early last month.
They say the data points to what’s being called a “stabilization” in new long-term care cases and severe outcomes, though they note the number of hospitalizations and deaths remains high compared to earlier waves.
