15 New COVID Cases, Three In Eastern Zone

The province is reporting 15 new cases of COVID-19 today.

Three of those cases are in the Eastern Zone that includes Cape Breton.

Of those cases, two are close contacts of earlier reported cases and one is related to travel.

The other 12 cases reported today are all in the Central Zone.

The province is reporting 31 recoveries today and the total number of confirmed active cases is now 147.

Those include 39 in the Cape Breton County Community Health Network and one in the Inverness, Victoria and Richmond Community Health Network.

Ten people in the province are now in hospital with the virus, including six in intensive care.

Premier Iain Rankin and Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Robert Strang are scheduled to give another COVID-19 update at 1:00 tomorrow afternoon.
