14 New COVID Cases, One In Eastern Zone

The province is reporting 14 new cases of COVID-19 today.   

One of those cases is in the Eastern Zone that includes Cape Breton.

Health officials say the person is a close contact of an earlier reported case.  

12 of the new cases are in the Central Zone and one is in the Western Zone.

With nine recoveries being reported today, there’s now a total of 97 confirmed active cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia.

26 of those cases are in the Cape Breton County Community Health Network and one is in the Inverness, Victoria and Richmond Community Health Network.

Six people in the province are now in hospital with the virus, including three in intensive care.
