The province is reporting 121 new cases of COVID-19 today.
94 of the new cases are in the Central Zone, 16 are in the Eastern Zone that includes Cape Breton, six are in the Western Zone and five are in the Northern Zone.
The province’s Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Robert Strang says health officials are still dealing with a backlog of cases for data entry but he adds that should be cleared up soon.
He also says there are signs the number of new cases is going down slowly.
There’s now a total of 1,655 confirmed active cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia, including 112 in the Cape Breton County Community Health Network and 21 in the Inverness, Victoria and Richmond Community Health Network.
58 people in the province are in hospital with virus, including nine in intensive care.
Meanwhile, Public Health is reporting 12 active cases of COVID-19 among staff across the province, and it says 14 others have recovered.
23 health care workers are now in isolation.
