12 Year-Old Sydney Boy Charged After Police Say He Stole A Truck

A 12-year-old Sydney boy is facing charges after Regional Police say he stole a truck in Whitney Pier yesterday morning.

Police say the truck was taken from a driveway on Webster Street at around 8:00 and witnesses saw the boy drive away in the vehicle toward Victoria Road.

They say the truck was eventually spotted at the Heritage Park Trail on Matilda Street and they say officers spotted a boy running from the stolen vehicle.

The 12-year-old was arrested for being in possession of stolen property.

He’s due in Sydney Provincial Court on October 4th on charges of Theft, Property Obtained by Crime and Mischief.

Police say they recovered two more stolen vehicles through their investigation and they continue to investigate.
