Stevens Trial Date Set

Nine days have been set aside for the trial of an Eskasoni man charged with manslaughter.

Larry Daniel Stevens was charged after the death of 34 year-old James Bernard Bonnar in Sydney in August of last year.

Stevens is accused of punching Bonnar and leaving him unconscious on a street where he was later hit by a vehicle and died of his injuries.

Stevens had been released on bail, but he was put back in custody in March after his parents asked the court to release him from their responsibility.

Stevens remains in custody until his trial is scheduled to start on April 24th.
