Researchers Tag Shark They Name “Sydney” Off Cape Breton

U-S researchers have tagged their first great white shark in waters off Cape Breton.

Ocearch has named the shark Sydney, after where the team launched its expedition from on Saturday.

They say Sydney is 3.6 meters long and weighs 544 kilograms.

The team is focusing on the area around Hay Island near Main-a-Dieu where they say there are lots of seals to attract great whites
