Quebec Pair Arrested In CB On Drug, Weapons Charges
Two people from Quebec are facing drug and weapons charges following a vehicle stop in Victoria County over the weekend.
RCMP say they stopped an SUV for driving erratically on Highway 105 at about 10 o’clock on Saturday morning.
They add the driver and passenger were arrested for possession of 18 and a half pounds of marihuana, along with small amounts of cocaine and methamphetamine.
Police also say the two had a loaded 9mm handgun.
35 year-old Maxime Brodeur and 37 year-old Stéphanie Renaud are each facing a host of charges, including two counts of possession of a controlled substance and numerous firearms charges.
Both remain in custody while they await a bail hearing tomorrow.
