Marion Bridge Man Appointed New Health Authority Board Chair

A Marion Bridge man has been appointed the new chair of the provincial Health Authority’s board of directors.

Frank van Schaayk will replace Steven Parker on March 31st.

Van Schaayk is the former regional president of the Americas for McCain Foods and former president and chief operating officer of Ben’s Bakery.

Health Minister Randy Delorey says he’s asked van Schaaye to work with board members to determine the best way to make board information more accessible to the public.

The move comes after it was revealed Health Authority Board meetings are not open to the public.

George Unsworth from Sydney also sits on the Board.
