Lieutenant-Governor to visit Glace Bay, present Community Spirit Award

Lieutenant Governor Arthur LeBlanc will be in Glace Bay next weekend, to present the Community Spirit Award to the community.

Glace Bay is one of four towns in Nova Scotia to receive the award this year, along with Potlotek First Nation, Petite Riviere in Lunenburg County, and Port Williams in Kings County.

The award celebrates the power, strength and diversity of vibrant communities across Nova Scotia.

The presentation will take place at the Savoy Theatre at noon next Sunday, August 18.

Potlotek received their Community Spirit Award during this year’s Mawio’mi, held last month.
