Health Authority Launches Immunization Survey
The provincial Health Authority has launched a survey on immunization that targets parents of children born in 2011.
It says it’s picked that group because the children are old enough for both their infant and pre-school immunizations.
It says data on those two immunizations is not now available.
The Health Authority says it will use the information to improve immunization rates in the province and move Nova Scotia toward the national target of a 95% immunization rate.
The Authority is hoping to get three-thousand responses to the survey.
Letters about the survey were sent to parents this week through schools.
