Consultant Says Elected School Boards Should Go
The consultant hired to review the province’s education administration is calling for sweeping changes to the system.
Avis Glaze is recommending the elimination of the seven elected English school boards in the province.
Glaze is also recommending keeping the current provincial Acadian school board structure, with some adjustments.
Her review also calls for removing principals and vice-principals from the Nova Scotia Teachers Union and the creation of a new professional association for them.
