CB Teens Charged In Pepper Spray Incident

Three Cape Breton teens have been charged in connection to an assault involving pepper spray in Antigonish.

RCMP say the incident happened on Saturday when two people were sprayed following a verbal dispute.

They were sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and have since been released.

A 16 year-old boy from Nyanza is facing two counts of assault with a weapon in the case, while single counts of assault have been brought against a 17 year-old boy from Baddeck and an 18 year-old man from the Cheticamp area.

All three have been released on conditions and are due in court on June 27th.

Police say they’re continuing to investigate.
