The province says it’s set up a six-week training program to give financial support to former Servicom employees.
It says the program will help the former call centre workers build skills and support their search for work.
The program will include first aid and safety training, as well as courses on computers, communication skills, stress management, time management and conflict resolution.
The program starts on Monday, and people can register by going to information sessions later this week.
The sessions are being organized by the province, Ottawa and local groups to give information on a number of programs including Income Assistance, EI and home heating.
The sessions take place at the Ashby Legion on Thursday and Friday.
Meanwhile, government officials and former Servicom site director Todd Riley say a US-based investor is interested in getting the call centre back up and running.
About 600 people were put out of work when the operation closed.
