Suspicious Death Confirmed As Homicide

Regional Police say a suspicious death in Sydney in March is now being investigated as a homicide.

80 year-old Douglas MacLeod Barrett was found dead at a home on Terrace Street on March 22nd, and police say the medical examiner has confirmed the death was a homicide.

They also say they don’t think the killing was a random act, and they believe those involved know each other.

Anyone with information on the case is being asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
