UPDATE: Fatal Fire Ruled Accidental

A house fire that killed a woman in Sydney overnight has been deemed accidental.

The fire happened at a home on Rockdale Avenue, where a neighbour says he called 911 after his son noticed the fire.

Police say they got called to the home at about 4:30.

They say firefighters found the woman inside the home while they were fighting the fire.

She was taken to the Regional Hospital in Sydney where she later died.

Police say they’ve finished their investigation.

The woman’s name has not been released.
