Sydney Native To Chair Offshore Petroleum Board
A Sydney native has been appointed to chair the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board. Keith MacLeod is a registered engineer with over 30 years of experience in the energy industry in Canada and internationally. He’s worked on projects related to the Sable Offshore and Deep Panuke projects, as well as projects on Newfoundland and Labrador’s offshore, and is a member of the advisory board of CBU’s Verschuren Centre. The Offshore Petroleum Board is an independent joint agency of the Governments of Canada and Nova Scotia, and is responsible for the regulation of petroleum activities in Nova Scotia’s offshore. MacLeod’s six-year term begins on August 17th.
